Guitar Lessons They'll Look Forward To Every Week.

Rock Dojo transforms learning guitar into an epic adventure through original music, story-driven musical missions, and a reward system that keeps kids excited to practice. Whether your child has never picked up a guitar or already has experience, they’ll build real musical skills while becoming part of a world they’ll never want to leave.

Welcome to Hero Academy

Students meet once each week in small groups where they learn guitar through original music, story-driven Musical Missions, and an adventure that keeps them excited to practice and progress.

What makes Hero Academy different?

Thousands of Portland elementary students have learned guitar with Rock Dojo since 2015.

What Your Child Experiences Every Week

Every Hero Academy class is designed to help your child make real progress while having fun. From the moment school ends until they head home, we’ve built an experience that keeps kids excited to learn and makes life easier for busy families.

WHAT TO EXPECT

After School, We Take It From Here

Class meets at school, directly after class. No extra driving, no rushing across town, and no interruptions to your evening.

Real Guitar Skills, One Step at a Time

Whether your child is picking up a guitar for the first time or already knows a few songs, they’ll build strong musical fundamentals through clear, step-by-step instruction.

Music They'll Actually Want to Play

Students learn through original Rock Dojo songs, professionally written to make every lesson exciting and to develop real musicianship.

Progress Kids Can See

As students complete Musical Missions, they earn Hero Cards, badges, and belts that celebrate their progress and keep them motivated to reach the next level.

Small Classes. Personal Attention.

Two instructors work with every class, giving students plenty of encouragement, guidance, and individual support as they learn.

Confidence That Goes Beyond Music

Every success builds confidence. Students learn how to practice independently, solve challenges, perform for others, and believe in their ability to do hard things.

We Make It Easy for Families

Closing Statement

By the end of each class, your child leaves with something new to play with, a reason to feel proud, and excitement to come back the following week.
